Hydropower Metal
Primary aluminium from a smelter powered by its own Asahan River hydropower plants, not coal.
Aluminium rolling mill · Indonesia · Since 1991
The only aluminium rolling company in Indonesia with both direct casting and continuous casting. Two casting routes, one integrated mill: coil, sheet, circle and foil made from melt to finished product under one roof.

Company
PT Intibumi Alumindotama Industry has cast and rolled aluminium in Indonesia since 1991. Its 15-hectare integrated plant runs both direct casting (DC) and continuous casting (CC), with a capacity of 48,000 tonnes a year.
Two casting routes feed one rolling operation, so buyers can source DC- and CC-quality material from a single supplier, for packaging, building, transport, electrical and household applications in Indonesia and abroad.
Every stage is supported by a metallurgical laboratory and quality inspection, and a technical service team works with customers to turn requirements into specified products.
Low-carbon metal
Our primary metal comes from PT Inalum (Indonesia Asahan Aluminium), Indonesia’s state-owned primary aluminium smelter at Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra, near our Medan plant.
Inalum’s smelter runs on hydroelectric power from its own Asahan River hydropower plants, not coal. Aluminium made with hydropower has a much lower carbon footprint than aluminium from coal-powered smelters, which supply most of the world’s primary aluminium.
Our commitment We are working towards verified, product-level emissions data together with our metal supplier.

Smelter to rolling mill within North Sumatra: a short supply chain, with source and origin documents for customers who need them.
We can provide metal source (smelter) information and support your EU CBAM reporting. Indonesia’s official EU CBAM default value for aluminium foil is lower than those of several other major exporting countries.
Indonesian origin is expected to support EU trade advantages as the Indonesia–EU CEPA trade agreement comes into force.
PT Inalum is named as our primary metal supplier only. No other relationship is implied.
Manufacturing
Two separate casting routes meet at our three cold rolling mills, which feed the finishing lines and the foil line. Every product passes final inspection before packing.
Products

Automotive application
Flat-rolled aluminium sheet and coil for automotive battery cases: light, corrosion-resistant, and with good thermal conductivity.
Battery and automotive buyers now assess the carbon footprint of their materials (Scope 3) and must document it under rules such as the EU Battery Regulation. Our metal is made from Inalum primary aluminium, smelted with hydroelectric power.
We supply to your specification, with consistent quality and engineering support, and provide samples for qualification.

Quality assurance
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Quality is built into the route: composition is checked before casting, thickness is controlled automatically in rolling, and the laboratory tests the metal in between.
